Congratulations to 8th Grade Student, Gregory D., whose artwork was chosen to represent the State of MA at the NAEA convention in Chicago. He was one of thirteen students from MA whose artwork moved on to the National level!

Artwork Chosen for Display in New York City at the NAEA Convention
A painting by first grade student, Vanessa T. has been chosen by the MA Art Education Association President, Christopher Whitehead, for inclusion in the MAEA Youth Art Month Show which will be on display in New York City for the National Art Education Association Convention on March 1-4, 2012.
UPDATE! We were recently informed that Vanessa's art work was ONE of ONLY 21 pieces chosen from the state of Massachusetts for display in this show!

St. Ann Pupil's Art Goes National
"A painting by St. Ann School first-grader Vanessa Torres has been chosen by Massachusetts Art Education Association President Christopher Whitehead for inclusion in the MAEA Youth Art Month Show, which will be on display in the National Art Education Association Convention. That event will run March 1 to 4, at the Hilton Hotel in New York City. The convention focuses on the idea that educators educate better when they collaboratively explore what it means to be teachers and learners with one focal point: the power of visual arts education to fulfill human potential."
